The mocha shade is warmer than I expected and it looks great against my plain white plates. They've got a nice weight without feeling stiff, and the linen softened up after the first rinse.
I've washed these twice already and the linen came out even softer, no pilling or fading. The set of two is perfect for a small dinner, and they mix well with the cream placemats I already had.
The mocha color is exactly what I hoped for—rich enough to dress up the table but muted enough for everyday dinners. They feel sturdy in the hand yet have that soft, lived-in linen texture right out of the package, and they pair well with my other neutral table accessories.
