The light gray is exactly the neutral I wanted, it somehow works with both my everyday plates and the good china. After a wash it softened up nicely and the simple seam keeps it looking clean rather than fussy.
The linen has that slightly rustic texture I was hoping for, and the simple seam keeps it from looking fussy on the table. Washed it once and it came out softer with barely any wrinkles.
The light gray is a true neutral that didn't clash with my patterned plates at all. The simple seam finish looks clean and lays flat right out of the dryer. Used it for a casual Sunday dinner and it felt a little fancy without trying.
