The cross-back design keeps the straps from sliding off my shoulders while I'm reaching for pots on the top shelf, and the charcoal gray hides splatters better than any light-colored apron I've owned. It's sturdy enough for gardening too, though it does feel a bit warm after an hour outside.

The linen is surprisingly absorbent, so I can dry my hands on it mid-cooking without a separate towel. It's held up through three washes and still looks crisp in that deep charcoal color.
