I bought these for everyday dinners and the cinnamon shade warms up my plain oak table way more than I expected. The two layers give it a nice weight so it doesn't slide around when I set down hot plates. Washed them twice already and they came out soft, no shrinking.
The double layer actually feels substantial, not flimsy like the single-layer ones I've had before. They lay flat without curling at the corners, which was my main worry. Been using them under pasta bowls all week and no stains yet.
