I've washed this runner three times already and it hasn't pilled or faded one bit. The linen has that soft, slightly rumpled look that makes a table feel less stiff, and it actually protects the wood from hot dishes.

The charcoal gray is exactly as pictured—deep and muted, not washed out. The linen has that lovely lived-in softness right away, and it drapes nicely over the table without sliding around. I’ve already tossed it in the wash once and it came out looking even better.
