These washed up soft after one cycle and didn't shrink, which I was worried about with linen. The gray blue is muted enough to work with my everyday dishes but still looks nice for guests. Two in the set is a little limiting, honestly I'll be buying another pair.
The linen has that slightly rustic weave that keeps plates from sliding, and it washed up soft after one cycle without shrinking. Been using them under bowls for weeknight dinners and they still look crisp.
The gray blue color is muted and pretty in person, and it hides crumbs way better than my old white ones. Washed them after a spaghetti dinner and they came out soft with no shrinking.
